Stanley Nwabali on Saudi clubs and Rangers radar 

Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali finds himself at the center of attention as clubs from Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom express interest in his talents. 

The 27-year-old shot-stopper of Chippa United in South Africa has garnered widespread recognition following his stellar performances.

Nwabali’s journey to prominence began when he caught the eye of  former Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro last year.

Recognizing his potential, Peseiro included him in the provisional squad for AFCON 2024, marking a significant milestone in Nwabali’s career. 

Nwabali continued to elevate his game, earning the trust of former Eagles coach  Peseiro and cementing his position as the first-choice goalkeeper for the national team, displacing Francis Uzoho.  With a sterling performance at the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations.

His commanding presence and exceptional reflexes have not gone unnoticed, with clubs from Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia and Queens Park Rangers in the UK expressing keen interest in acquiring his services.

Chippa United, Nwabali’s current club, finds themselves at a crossroads as they contemplate the future of their prized goalkeeper.
