Shatta Wale’s mother, Madam Elsie Avemegah, has accused her son of neglect, revealing her severe financial and health crises. Avemegah, who has been battling hypertension and other serious health issues, alleged that Shatta Wale has not been in contact with her for over a decade.

In a recent TikTok video, her niece, Sherita Aheteku, confirmed these allegations, describing the family’s struggles to care for the over 70-year-old woman. In the video, Avemegah, who was nearly in tears, detailed her desperate situation and appealed to the public for financial assistance to meet her medical and personal needs. She stated that her hardships have significantly affected her physical appearance.

The narrative of her neglect isn’t new; it gained public attention in 2022 when Avemegah revealed she was evicted from her home after six years and had not seen her son for over five years. During a series of radio interviews at that time, she lamented her deteriorating conditions and her futile attempts to seek help from Shatta Wale.

As her situation worsened in 2024, Madam Elsie continued to accuse her son of abandonment, claiming he did not know her whereabouts or daily struggles. The accusations have sparked renewed public outcry, putting the Dancehall artiste under scrutiny once again for his treatment of his mother.
