Nigerian music superstar Rema delivered a memorable performance of his hit song “Calm Down” at the high-profile wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai on Friday, 12th July 2024. Held at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex, the extravagant event united Anant Ambani, the youngest son of India’s wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharma tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant.

According to Hindustan Times, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, reportedly paid Rema $3 million for his performance. With an estimated net worth of $123.3 billion as of July 2024, Ambani is the wealthiest individual in India and the 11th richest globally.

The wedding, which spanned seven months of elaborate pre-wedding celebrations, attracted global attention and was dubbed the wedding of the year.
