Mo Abudu’s ‘Baby Farm’ Leads Slate of Female-Led Nollywood Projects on Netflix

Produced by Mo Abudu of EbonyLife TV, ‘Baby Farm’ is part of a series of five female-led Nollywood projects set to debut on the streaming service by this year’s end.

The cast of ‘Baby Farm’ boasts talent like Rita Dominic, Onyinye Odokoro, Joseph Benjamin, Genoveva Umeh, Langley Kirkwood, and Jenny Stead. The gripping story follows Adanna, a pregnant woman who unwittingly entrusts her unborn twins to an NGO, only to find herself trapped in a sinister baby farm run by the ruthless Doctor Oliver Evans and his wife.

While the release date remains unknown, filming wrapped up in late February 2024. Netflix unveiled the series during an International Women’s Day event called ‘Her Voice, Our Story,’ celebrating leading female figures in the Nigerian film community.

Dorothy Ghettuba, Netflix’s Director of Content in Sub-Saharan Africa, expressed excitement about collaborating with the industry’s female powerhouses to bring these compelling projects to life and showcase stories that reflect Nigerian culture.
