Ethiopian Airlines Removes Passenger to Accommodate Minister on Flight

A female passenger was removed from her seat without an apology from Ethiopian Airlines for a minister. Despite her protests and pleas, the yet-to-be-identified minister did not intervene and remained seated throughout the commotion.

The incident reportedly occurred close to 11:30 PM and was reported by Larry Madowo, an international correspondent and host for CNN.

Madowo reported that the passenger’s removal was forceful, with the woman screaming at the flight attendants. In the video, the woman could be seen saying, Don’t touch me, everyone is a taxpayer.

Ethiopian Airlines kicked out a passenger on my flight because a minister took her seat. They didn’t apologise, and they eventually forcefully offloaded her screaming. The minister did nothing. Disgraceful, he wrote on X.

According to Madowo, the next available flight to Nairobi is scheduled for the following day, which will leave the passenger stranded.
