South Africa’s Democratic Alliance Demands Most Major Portfolios In Government Of National Unity

South Africa’s Democratic Alliance (DA) party, which represents settler-colonial interests, has demanded control of all ministries that run the affairs of the South African government led by Cyril Ramaphosa of the African National Congress (ANC) party.

This was disclosed in a letter sent by the DA federal chairperson, Helen Zille, to the ANC secretary-general, Fikile Mbalula, on Sunday in the ongoing formation of roles in government.

According to the letter seen by West Africa Weekly, the DA party demanded 12 significant cabinet positions in the Government of National Unity (GNU) and director-general in all departments, including the deputy minister positions.

It is obviously impossible to effect positive change in government if the processes of government, and key personnel in the government, obstruct the Democratic Alliance at every turn,” the letter reads in part.

The DA also demanded to take over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This move indicates that the DA seeks to achieve its goal of reversing South Africa’s BRICS membership and forcing the country to adopt pro-Israel foreign policy.

Other ministries include the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy, Transport, Trade, Public Works and Infrastructure, Education, Public Service and Administration, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Justice, Home Affairs, International Relations and Cooperation, and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technologies.
