Victor Moses Joins Luton Town From Spartak Moscow

Former Chelsea and Nigeria international Victor Moses has signed with English Championship side Luton Town as a free agent after parting ways with Russian club Spartak Moscow this summer.

The 33-year-old winger, who initially joined Spartak Moscow on loan from Chelsea in 2020 before securing a permanent move, enjoyed a successful stint at Stamford Bridge, including a Premier League title-winning season under manager Antonio Conte.

Luton Town manager Rob Edwards expressed his excitement over Moses’ arrival, saying, “We think he’s someone who can provide some really good competition for us.”

Moses had already featured in a behind-closed-doors match last week, getting a glimpse of his new teammates.

The transfer comes at a crucial time for Luton, who have struggled in the early stages of the Championship season, securing just one point from four matches.

Edwards hopes Moses’ experience and versatility can help the team turn their fortunes around.

“I had a few offers from Europe, but I said to my agent that I set my mind on staying over here, and here we are. I’m very pleased and honoured to be at this club, and I just can’t wait to get going.

“I want to come here and enjoy my football, work hard for the club and for the team, and get back to where we belong in the Premier League,” Moses said.
