Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr was recently seen with global pop icon Rihanna at the Crop Over Festival in Barbados, sparking excitement among fans and speculation about a potential collaboration.

The sighting comes after the two previously met at a Fenty Beauty show in London, where they shared a warm interaction and had a brief conversation that hinted at possible future projects together.

Ayra Starr, whose latest album “The Year I Turned 21” is still making waves, attended the festival dressed elegantly in a Mas costume, enjoying the rich cultural experience alongside the Grammy-winning artist Rihanna. The Crop Over Festival, a vibrant celebration of Barbadian music, arts, food, and culture, has been an annual tradition since 1974, aimed at attracting tourists and preserving local heritage.

During a recent interview with Billboard, Ayra Starr fondly recalled her meeting with Rihanna at the Authentic Woman event in the UK. She admired Rihanna, describing their time together as inspiring and invaluable.

We [Rihanna and I] hung out after the event. Just spending time with my idol, the person who inspired me to do all of this, was the most amazing thing. She gave me so many pointers and advice, Ayra Starr shared.

The Crop Over Festival, a three-month-long celebration, continues to draw international attention, and this year’s edition was no exception with the presence of these two music stars.
