Rema to Release Second Studio Album “Heis” on July 11, Drops New Single “Hehehe”

Nigerian artist Rema is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated second studio album, “Heis,” slated to drop on Thursday, July 11. This new project marks his first full-length album since his 2022 debut, “Rave & Roses.”

In the album’s lead-up, Rema unveiled a fresh single titled “Hehehe.” The track opens with Rema’s playful yet taunting laughter, addressing his critics with lines like, “Monday morning, talking about me while I’m making money/Hehe-hehe-hehe-hehe-he/I’m not gonna take it easy on my hater.” The production, reminiscent of a Joker scene from Batman, sets a darkly whimsical tone.

“Hehehe” follows Rema’s earlier release “Benin Boys,” which dropped nearly two weeks ago and features fellow Nigerian artist Shallipopio. Both tracks will be part of the upcoming album “Heis.”

While Rema has not yet disclosed the complete tracklist or any additional collaborations for “Heis,” his previous album, “Rave & Roses,” featured a select group of artists, including 6LACK, Chris Brown, AJ Tracey, and Yseult. In 2023, Rema expanded on this with a deluxe edition called “Rave & Roses Ultra,” which included the chart-topping single “Calm Down” featuring Selena Gomez.

Fans eagerly await more details about “Heis” as Rema continues to build anticipation with his latest musical offerings.
