Breaking: Court Directs Police to Evict Dethroned Emir Bayero from Nassarawa Palace

203

A Kano State High Court has ordered Aminu Bayero to cease presenting himself as the Emir of Kano.

The court has also mandated the Police to evict the dethroned Emir from the Nassarawa royal residence, where he has been residing.

Emir Muhammad Sanusi has been instructed to move into the main Kano palace. The court has further directed the Commissioner of Police to assume control of the palace, ensuring order and compliance with the ruling.

In addition to Bayero, the court has restrained four other individuals from parading themselves as Emirs. These individuals include Nasiru Ado Bayero (Bichi), Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II (Karaye), Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa (Rano), and Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya (Gaya).

This decision follows an ex parte motion filed by Ibrahim Isa Wangida Esq, representing the applicant, in Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu’s court.

The ruling underscores the complexities and legal battles surrounding the emirate’s leadership and governance.

It was earlier reported that one of the removed monarchs,  the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, has accepted his removal, describing it as an act of God.
