JAMB Denies Rescheduling for Candidates Unable to Capture Fingerprints

In a recent development concerning the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination process, candidates whose fingerprints were not successfully captured during registration will not be rescheduled for another examination.

This decision comes in response to concerns raised by parents and candidates regarding the inability to capture fingerprints during the registration process.

The issue surfaced when a parent took to X, expressing frustration over the failure to capture their daughter’s fingerprints despite multiple attempts. The parent contacted JAMB to seek clarification on the following steps to resolve the matter.

In response, JAMB  official X handle asserts that candidates whose fingerprints could not be captured will not be rescheduled.

The board emphasised that fingerprints successfully captured during registration should not pose issues during the examination.

Moreover, JAMB highlighted that the fingerprint-capturing process mirrors that of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) during registration.

Candidates were reminded of the importance of refraining from applying abrasive substances that could distort the whorls of their fingers before the examination.

This statement shows the stance of the Board on concerns surrounding the candidates facing fingerprint capture challenges.

However, after criticism by Nigerians, the examination body deleted their response to the questions raised by the parents.
