Tems Makes History as First Nigerian Artist Honoured at 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards

The Youtube Theater in Los Angeles glittered on Wednesday, March 6th as the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards honoured a phenomenal group of female music industry leaders. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the ceremony recognizyed trailblasers who inspire generations and elevate the industry.

Tems Makes History as First Nigerian Honouree 

Nigerian superstar Tems etched her name in history as the first Billboard Women in Music Honouree from her country. She stunned in a sleek black Alaïa dress and Bantu Knots, later changing outfits for a powerful performance of her hit “Not An Angel.”


Celebrating Achievements Across Genres

The night saw a diverse range of talent take center stage. From established icons like Kylie Minogue and industry veterans like Michelle Jubelirer (Executive of the Year) to rising stars like Victoria Monét and Ice Spice, the awards acknowledged the impact women have across genres.
